Introduction

Learn how to build and deploy real-time AR/VR apps, manage and deliver 3D app, and create magical experiences.

New October 2020 release is now live.

What is echoAR?

echoAR is a cloud platform for augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) that provides tools and server-side infrastructure to help developers & companies quickly build and deploy 3D apps and content.

We built a 3D-first content management system (CMS) and delivery network (CDN) that enables developers to build an AR/VR app backend in minutes, and allows content creators to easily manage and publish 3D content to their AR/VR app without involving development teams.

Why use echoAR?

Our cloud platform is specially built to handle, convert, and compress 3D models, videos, interactive content, and animations while providing interaction analytics & usage metrics. Our cross-platform system supports any AR/VR client-side SDK for developers to choose to build their app, such as ARCore, ARKit, Vuforia, WebXR, AR.js, Oculus SDK, Unity-based SDKs, Microsoft HoloLens, MagicLeap, and more. By using our solution, AR/VR developers save time and money on building & maintaining an app backend, and quickly go from development, to testing, and to production. Content creators don't need technical knowledge to use the system as they are able to manage 3D content anywhere using our web app.

Where do I start?

Head over to the Quickstart section to begin developing engaging AR/VR apps:

What can I build with echoAR?

AR and VR open a whole new world of possibilities for building apps! You are only limited by your imagination.

Developers are building 3D apps for:

  1. Healthcare, e.g., using medical imaging to show physicians 3D representation of patient anatomy during surgery

  2. Home design, e.g., virtually placing true-to-scale 3D furniture in your own space

  3. Art, e.g., immersing visitors in 3D experiences at museums and galleries

  4. Navigation, e.g., overlay the camera with directions to help you find your way with your phone camera

  5. Retail, e.g., try-before-you-buy products in the comfort of your home

  6. Games, e.g., capturing digital monsters around the real world.

  7. Training, e.g., simulating complex processes with an expert remotely guiding you through them.

  8. Advertising, e.g., engaging consumers through the camera to boost sales.

  9. and so much more!
